A joint performance with Wakefield Orchestral Wind at Castleford Civic Centre, 19 October 2024 – the final performance before the venue sadly closed.

Conducted by Colin Cranmer (MD of WOW), the Choir and Orchestra joined to sing ‘A Moment for  Morricone’ – think The Good, The Bad and The Ugly with Clint Eastwood.

Following the concert, the audience joined the performers to sing ‘Auld Lang Syne’ to bid  goodbye to the Centre, which opened in 1970.

 

 

 A compilation of music from Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Jesus Christ Superstar.  

This is just one of the many hit musicals by Lloyd Webber that has run for more than a decade in the West End of London.

 A very poignant song that was written as a fundraiser for a Children’s Hospice in Wales.

 

Another joint performance at the Castleford Civic Centre Concert.  This is Band of Brothers – a thought-provoking song about war and the sacrifices made by young men for their country.

 

YOU’LL NEVER WALK ALONE

A rousing joint finale at Riley-Smith Hall in Tadcaster on 22 June 2024 with our guests FEATHERSTONE MALE VOICE CHOIR.  A wonderful evening celebrating the Centenary year of this well-known venue.

The final item of the joint finale, led by Edward Whelan, Musical Director of Featherstone Male Voice Choir.  Accompanists for the concert were Mandy Jones and Elaine Oakley.

LET THE RIVER RUN in May 2024

A performance recorded by a member of the audiencee during a concert onboard Borealis. This was during the Choir’s 5th cruise to the Channel Isles and France..  Two concerts were performed during the 5-night stay.

 

 

York Community Choir Festival, March 2024

A performance in the Joseph Rowntree Theatre, York as part of the above festival which raised £7500 for the Theatre.  The money will help to fund a permanent bar.  This recording was made by  York Hospital Radio.
