The Fashion Show on 19 June was a great success. The Bargains just kept on coming – straight from the packet that morning!!  (You had to be there).

It was a wonderfully entertaining evening and raised over £600 for good causes.

The models were on good form and included our 2 youngest volunteers, Romilly and Dulcie.

The next Fashion Show is on: Friday 13 Nov at 7pm.

Voices in Harmony was indeed an outstanding concert in the atmospheric setting of Selby Abbey. The Fairburn Singers joined by Die Rosen Kavaliere Male Voice Choir and Bell Cantánima Ladies Choir, both from Bavaria, raised the roof with a wide variety of music.

All choirs performed individually and then joined together for 2 items in the second half.   The first of these was sung in German by all 3 choirs, see video opposite.

Our guest Trumpeter, Anthony Thompson, once again, excelled with Libertango and  Moon River.  He also accompanied Fairburn Singers in Let the Earth Resound.  The concert concluded with a heartfelt rendition of Let There Be Peace on Earth from all performers.
